Zhan Zhuang Qigong in the Tai Ji class is a basic stationary Qigong form. It includes 5 postures that help to increase the blood circulation to your heart, liver, spleen, kidney, and lung. It also helps you to learn to focus and cultivate internal energy through deep breathing.
Tai Ji Forms include Tai ji Quan and Tai Ji sword. All the students will start from learn Tai Ji Quan step by step first. After learning the entire Tai Ji Quan, students can start to learn Tai JI Sword if they wish.
In the first three sections, everyone will do stretching, basic Tai Ji exercise, and Qigong together. But in the last section, students will learn the Tai Ji form at their own pace. This means that students may not learn the same step in the Tai Ji forms. Students who have taken the class for a while may learn the steps further ahead in the form than students who have just joined the class.
Why The Tai Ji form is taught this way? because this will help students to remember what they learned and to get the postures and techniques right, which is very important in learning Tai Ji.
