Health benefits of massaging the little finger

Our hands contain 99 acupuncture points and are linked to 6 meridians associated with the heart, kidneys, and various other organs. The little finger is related to the heart and the small intestine meridian, and it also indicates the health of the kidneys and the circulatory system. Regularly pressing the little finger can help prevent and treat numerous ailments, including cervical spondylosis, frozen shoulder, headaches, insomnia, lumbar disc herniation, back pain, limb numbness, tumors, palpitations, high blood pressure, energy depletion, endometriosis, uterine muscle tumors, menopausal issues, constipation, depression, memory loss, neuroticism, anxiety, vision impairment, obesity, diabetes, kidney issues, diarrhea, frequent urination, urinary blockage, enlarged prostate, hepatitis, and even gray hair.

Regularly massaging the little finger can enhance the body’s strength and support kidney health. You can gently massage the little finger using your fingertips, moving from the tip to the base for about ten minutes each session. This practice can help stimulate the Qi flow to these organs and address kidney deficiency.

A lot of individuals begin to notice white hair at an early age. There are several factors involved, but one of the primary causes is poor kidney function. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the health of the kidneys is closely linked to the state of the hair. By regularly massaging the little finger, you can enhance your body’s strength and nourish the kidneys, which may also aid in addressing gray hair.

Figure 1 illustrates two acupuncture points located in the little finger: the ‘kidney point’ on the first knuckle and the ‘Mingmen point’ on the second knuckle. You can gently press each acupuncture point, then let go and press it again. Repeat this process 50 times daily.
