World Tai Ji (Chi) and Qigong Day Celebration

World Tai Ji and Qigong Day is an annual event held on the last Saturday of April each year.  Millions of people from nearly eighty countries have participated in the event since 1999.

The goal of World Tai Ji and Qigong Day is to bring people across racial, economic, religious, and geo-political boundaries together for the purpose of health and healing through Tai Ji and Qigong.

The World Tai Ji and Qigong Day celebrations are independently organized. The format of events varies by locality, but usually includes mass Tai Ji Quan and qigong exhibitions. The event begins in the earliest time zones of Samoa, and then participants across Oceania, Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, and South America take part, with celebrations in many nations and hundreds of cities, ending with the final events in the last time zones of Hawaii almost an entire day later.

On April 30, we will celebrate the World Tai JI and Qigong day at Bunker park at Lake Monticello. The event starts at 9:30 AM. It includes Ba Duan Jin Qigong and the entire  Tai Ji Quan demonstration and group practice.  Everyone is invited. If you have never learned Tai Ji or Qigong before, don’t worry about it. You can either follow along with the movement other people are doing,  or simply watch while enjoying the fresh air, and relaxing environment.
